Each week the participants are sectioned into their age groups and complete several events which can include sprints, race walk, shot put, high jump, long jump, triple jump, discus, javelin and hurdles. Activities alternate each week to ensure participants get to learn and practice each discipline. Events are scored/measured, with records and champions awarded at the end of the season.

Registration:
$30 per athlete
Full membership must be paid to compete, however new members are welcome to "come & try" for two weeks before registering.
Membership must be then paid to continue.
Club Uniform:
One off purchase of a club singlet or tshirt for $15.
Must be worn to all events to display the club sponsors.
Personal Bests
Our results system tracks all personal best performances of registered Athletes which is available on the weekly results sheets. This allows all athletes to see and strive to beat, their own PB each week. A certificate of season best performances will be issued to each athlete at the end of the season.
Aggregate point system
First place will receive points as of the number of competitors - down to the last finisher gaining 1 point. Athletes starting but not finishing a race receive one point. Athletes having first race will gain an invitation handicap. Aggregate point will accrue throughout the season with the highest points being the winner in each age group.
Handicap system
A handicapped competition is run towards the end of the season. Athletes will be handicapped from their race/throw/jump stats throughout the season.
Sponsored awards (trophies/medallions)
To be eligible for a sponsored or club award, new athletes must be registered and have at least 2 starts.
Club Championships
Club championships are run over two nights towards the end of the season. Ribbons will be award for places. Club Records can only be broken during Club Championship events.
Haddon Gift
The Haddon Gift is a handicapped 100m sprint that is contested on the final night of the season. Due the number of participants it is not possible for everyone to run through heats on Haddon Gift night. Athletes with the most improved 100m times across the season for each age group are invited to run in the Gift. Parents who would like to compete, run an entry time the week prior to obtain their handicap.
